You BROKE the moon!
Saw 'The Time Machine' today. Very cool. Needed to be about half an hour longer -- by the time you got to the good stuff, it all seemed very rushed, because so much time had been spent establishing the reality in which they were going to be operating -- but still, very cool. Had the giant refillable bucket of popcorn: also cool. Did, however, instigate a very odd scene.
Picture, if you will, your chunky blonde hostess squirming under the guardrail with her empty popcorn bucket, off to get more non-bogus 'corn. Only the front concession stand -- the one that's actually close to the auditorium where 'The Time Machine' is playing -- is out of 'corn, bogus or not.
This meant that I needed to run doooooown the big center aisle to the other concession stand, where they still had 'corn. Run run run. Skid to a halt, present the bucket, bounce, jog in place. Deny butter-flavoured earwax, snag the filled bucket, sprint back up the aisle, mysteriously not spilling the popcorn, despite the fact that you can't pick the damn bucket up without spilling, and I'm running here!!! It was a miracle! It was so cool!
And then there were Morlocks, and there was blood, and the movie was just generally pretty damn cool. Happy blonde, all full of hard-earned popcorny goodness.
