The good side: you get all of the nifty features, controlled playback, less fear of magnetic degredation, etc.
The annoyance: Cut scenes. You wonder whether the director would have made a better film if he didn't know that the "full movie" would be available on DVD. Are they deliberately cutting scenes so that the DVD can have "previously unreleased" footage? In several films I've seen recently I spotted holes left by deleted scenes. It leaves me wondering if the film would have made more sense in it's true form.
I've paid my money to see this movie in the theatre. I'd like to see all of it. It's like ordering dinner and only getting half of the baked potato.
Aside from that one personal gripe, a very nice media indeed. Now if they would only get the burner price down to a reasonable level...
