Together, they form: TomaPI!
I've known if YamaPi since Nobuta wo Produce days. I've known Toma since HYD days. I liked them together and considered them as best friends but it wasn't until 2007 when I started shipping them as "together, together." This is all the fault of one CR buddy named Akusihani. She started the TomaPi group in Crunchyroll and invited me to be one of the mods. It was then when I discovered the "TomaPi rabu-rabu".
Now what is it about these two that baits me so much? Is it Pi's body? Toma's "adorable-lity?" Pi's voice? Toma's skills? What? They're both very different people and if you look at them apart from each other, you'd probably realize that. So different in fact, that they almost seem the same.
I think it's clear to everyone that Toma, is a GLOMPER. He's such a puppy when he wants to be and he likes being around people. Everytime I see him, I either see a tail-wagging puppy or a real manly man. I don't know what is it with him. He can be so charming yet so...smouldering.
On the other hand, Pi is the same person as always. Brooding, expressionless, silent. It's like they are complete opposites but not really. After all, YamaPi can act scared, sad, happy and glompy and chirpy and weird and everything when he wants to.
So what pulled me to them?
Simple.
I have never seen two people so completely meant to be together. They like hitting each other, touching each other, Hugging each other and NOT in the name of fanservice.
Toma and Yamapi are two people who (I believe) genuinely LOVE each other.
Which makes this an even more "Kyaa" worthy OTP. Why? Because out of all the Senpai's and Kouhai's in Johnny's Jimusho, these two are the people who have all the reasons to hate each other's guts. As you all know, Toma is still a Junior while Yamapi practically conquered the world. Anyone would think that they'd fight or grow apart but no, they remained the best of friends. Sometimes I wonder if Yamapi knows how lucky he is, some of his friends debut in the same groups but aren't exactly the best of friends. While he, debuted alone, without Toma and yet, I doubt they even fought.
I think this trait sets them apart from any other OTP. What does this tell you?
