Spiderwebby Ramblings of the Walking Kind

Sep 28, 2008 10:05

I thought exercising alot was supposed to make you feel more energetic, not less! Walked a million miles yesterday (approximately) for one reason or another, and when I finally stopped I couldn't keep my eyes open! You'll be telling me I have to do it more than once next... *g*

But I did take some pics as I wandered the mellow mists and thingie fruitfulness and being me I thought I'd inflict them on my flist. They're along these lines...

We've had ever such misty mornings for the last few days - although today the mist was rising up from the fields and vanished very quickly - and it cleared up into a really pretty day yesterday. Before it did though, I thought I'd take a walk down to the local church with my camera, and I'm so glad I did, because the place was full of spiderwebs, all hung with dew drops - ever so magical... (the pics look better if you double click so that they're larger)

There were "ordinary ones" slung from berry bushes...

...and ones that looked like spun-sugar... (where are these new-fangled webs coming from? Do spiders have design-contests? Do earwigs make chutney... oh no, that's summat different... *g*)

...and sort of high-rise penthouse webs...

Took me much longer than I'd expected to get to the churchyard, but the mist was still there:

Went out blackberry picking yesterday too - bit late I know, but I did find some! And I've googled and found out that they're good for freezing too, so with any luck I can stock up for breakfasts if I go out again today! *g*

And then I took my Czech student and her visiting mum to this place:

It was actually Wimpole at War weekend again, but I didn't take pictures of that this time... Instead we wandered around everywhere, enjoying the sun, and eventually wound our way over the fields of sheep and looked back on the Hall itself - to see a flying thing! (top right corner - you might have to enlarge it!)

(And see how far we walked!)

The we turned around, and carried on up the hill to find this...

...and then of course we walked all the way back again. *g*

It was fun though - I really must go out walking more often... I've even bought a map of local footpaths and not actually used it yet, how rubbish am I? But today - today I will go off and find blackberries galore! Just... as close to the house as possible, this time... *g* And followed by catching up with some palelyloitering, and the Great Proswatch tonight, and... Yeah. *sighs happily*
