yesterday we saw Arches National Park. this involved hiking about 5 miles in 90 degree heat, which was actually pretty tolerable. though i was quite tired at the end, my feet/legs were not remarkably sore. i call that a good sign ( Read more... )

feis and i are driving to pittsburgh from mountain view (from seattle for him). yesterday we drove down CA-1, which is completely gorgeous, to san luis obispo and from there down a few miserable not-lit windy one-lane highways to bakersfield.
