At work, we're still waiting to hear what (if any) funding we'll have to keep going. We're not having to wait on paychecks right now, it's not that dire, but I sure would like to know something. I just took accidentally shut down my server in Dallas. Now I'm working on getting hold of someone at the colo facility, so they can start it back up.

I'm upgrading my OpenBSD server tonight, and I'll deal with the laptop tomorrow sometime.

Guess which one would affect me more if the upgrade went south?

EDIT: I also have to wonder the extent to which Crown Royal influnced this decision terribly.

I've finally migrated everything for my vanity domain, idempot.net, over to my own server. That includes a mail archive going back 5 years, which was the funnest part. I had to convert all the messages from not-completely-standard mbox to Maildir++, and I used perfect_maildir.pl for the bulk of the work. Unfortunately, there were plenty of lines ( Read more... )
