My supervisor did come back yesterday, and she seems very nice. She's from Brazil, and that's where she's been on her leave, and she brought back a pot of Brazilian sweets, including some candied figs, one of which I had (no dairy!) and enjoyed very much ( Read more... )

My placement isn't so bad. I mean, I'm in an NHS environment again, which is always nice and friendly, the wordload isn't overwhelming (quite the opposite -- more on this) and there's a fabulous room to eat lunch in with sofas and a TV.
