So yesterday, my two kitties, Harry and Murphy, were finally introduced, and it went fairly well. While Murphy isn't too keen on Harry right now, still hissing at him and what not, Harry (probably from being surrounded by other cats for a while) isn't that fearful of Murphy. Here's how it went down.

So what's been going on with me lately? Each of these will have their own posts, but I wanted to give a summation. In the past two days, I've:

• Hopefully given Kelly an amazing mothers day, which included time at a day spa, dinner, and cleaning her house for her.

So last night I decided I would sleep in the same room Harry so he'd get used to being around me in the dark and what not. So I got a towel and a blanket and lied down on the bathroom floor after turning the lights out. After a little nervous meowing, Harry proceeded to sniff all around me and on me as well. So 9 of us -- including Kelly and Kristen -- are going to see Spiderman 3 this Saturdays at the Bridge movie theater. I would've gotten Imax, but they were all sold out, so we'll have to "make do" with the director's hall, which has assigned seating and is REALLY nice. I so can't wait!

So last night, Kelly, Kristen, and my good friend girlfmkitty came by my apartment to meet Murphy, and let me tell ya, Murphy is a hit. girlfmkitty brought her some toys, and she went NUTTY for the ones with catnip on them. Murphy got along with everyone, and vise versa. She especially seemed to like girlfmkitty, sitting in her lap and letting her rub her tummy. Overall, I'd say ( Read more... )

So my best friend of 27 years, Leo, just came out to visit. I have to say his visit coincides with one of the more interesting long-weekends of my life, first getting a cat at the beginning of his trip, and losing my dad at the end of it. Wow, what an amazing year, huh? We had ups, downs, secrets, surprises, and life changes. 2006 was a major year for me, a turning point in which my life changed and improved immeasurably. I'm first going to go month by month, then followed by an summation of the year, so here goes…
