Got to take the bandages off and have a shower yesterday. Looks like the doctor managed to do the cut around the edge of the areola like he'd been talking about, instead of making a more-visible scar back closer to the actual lump. My boob looks kinda weird as a result, but I'm hoping that's mostly just because the tape and scabs are holding it ( Read more... )

So, biopsy says: Fibroadenoma. Not malignant, but they're sending me to have a consult with General Surgery to have them assess if it needs to be removed or not. Personally, I'm not big on the concept of surgical removal, but I guess it's up to what they recommend on this. Doctor knows best, right? But surgery?? Ugh. It's expensive, it makes ( Read more... )
