The past week, I've been getting up mega-early -- or sleeping through all four alarms, take you pick -- and driving south to my grandmother's nursing home to feed her, brush her teeth, and give her some company in my parents' absence. My body clock was really thrown off today, and by the time 3:30 rolled around and I was home, I'd fallen asleep on the couch. I woke up at 5:30 and decided that I felt too crappy to go to my grandmother's nursing home -- and after all, they weren't technically expecting me to come, since I had forgotten to tell the head nurse. Figwit ran away today. Debbie was out walking him -- because I've been laid up with the flu for a couple of days here -- and he got out of his harness in the couple of seconds that it took for her to turn her back. Drama on the second floor tonight, but not with the usual culprits. The neighbor below us attempted suicide and brought out all sorts of emergency personnel.
