Happy Birthday to me, though I wish I'd gotten something better in the mail today than a rejection letter from the University of Illinois. Seriously, if this keeps up, I am going to develop an inferiority complex. Is it lack of library work experience? I do not understand.

But I'm going to have fun today and eat lots of cake, so it's cool.

Got a rejection letter from the University of Washington today, telling me that they had an extra-competitive application season and that I didn't make the cut. My GPA and GRE scores were high, and I don't think my personal statement was too cheesy-bad, so I'm not sure exactly what they were looking for. I wish they would append something ( Read more... )
