Drawing on the wall

May 06, 2007 13:31

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We woke up early to head down to the voting booth before the masses. We even left before enjoying our morning cuppa! Luckily the lines were short and we hurried back for a decent breakfast.
Since Friday night, Froggy and I have been bearing down on boosting our techno-know-how. He's mastering (and explaining) PHP/MySQL programming and I've been focusing on learning (and explaining) Flash. Well let's just say we've been working more on programming than Flash. Instead of purchasing a web-package we've decided to learn how to do the programming ourselves. Froggy is quite quick at programming and we've always brainstormed well together.
In typical BoeFrog form our living room wall has been transformed in a gigantic mindmap. He and I see problems and solutions completely differently (both views being highly complementary); So we often resort to drawing out and writing down what we mean, to help the other understand. This habit dates back over ten years when we used to brainstorm our uni papers together. We've got funny pictures of various dwellings with scholarly artwork adorning the walls.
It's time to break for lunch. The day is going really well - we're steadily progressing and hopefully we'll iron out all uncertainties as they rear their ugly heads. *grins*
