The new protocol
The meeting this afternoon with my oncologist went rather well. He spent most of our consultation explaining the new chemotherapy protocol that I will begin on Monday. This new treatment is in pill form so I'll be able to take it at home. The side effects are of the usual caliber: nausea, throwing up, drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, head aches, ( Read more... ) -
Misery guts: scroll on by
After a fantastic five days with minimal pain and relatively no fatigue suffered, I'm enduring a week from hell.

I had a quick and painless scan test today. Froggy went with me to the hospital. I was a teeny bit anxious but it went like clockwork. The procedure was undertaken by two gents who were extremely efficient and friendly. Couldn't have asked for more ( Read more... ) -
Slight improvement
You haven't seen me around much for the past two days. I've been too busy praying in the loo and shivering in pools of feverish sweat to be able to get on the computer: All positive signs that the Zometa is working ( Read more... ) -
Bad to the bone
The combat continues. I found out this morning that I have metastases in my rib, hip, spinal column and femur. I really appreciate it that my doctors have the balls to tell me straight up. At least I know what I have to fight.

Morphine. Feeling light. Slept better last night: no pain but the morphine makes me itchy - REALLY itchy.
Good meeting with the doc today: no idea what the lumpy bump could be so let's get it checked out.
Bone scintigraphy: tomorrow, 11am.
CAT Scan: Monday, 9am.
