Work was surprisingly low-key and amicable with Harold today. I switched my Friday for his Sunday shift b/c he and the family want a few days up in cottage country, so I now have tomorrow off. I received a flurry of emails yesterday regarding JRL. He really fucked up this time. After his first attempted suicide last month, he promised his family that he would get treatment and never do it again. Less than 2 weeks later, he OD'd again when no one was around and then collapsed before he could reach the phone. His girlfriend found him along ( Read more... )

Scott's been demoted. He's being transferred to the Eaton Centre GW store next week as a full-time employee. It was either that, or be fired. He seems quite happy at the prospect (closer to home, more time to devote to other projects, nice staff), but I just feel sick to my stomach.
