Minor miracle accomplished, move on to the next thing on the list...

fuck.

and I say again: fuck.

I'm so tired that descriptives fail me. My all-estrogen (and one cranky boss) crew sold $5400 today. Given that everything costs approx. $40, that's a whole lotta hustle, folks.

then...

The clouds parted and Harold told us all that...we...were......... GREAT. He even went so far as to say that he's never seen such professional teamwork. He's also never sold 5K in one day before. *blythechild blows on the end of her smokin' finger* I not only kept that store together today, I also prepped it for tomorrow (when I won't be there), and did it all in heels. I'm so hot that my friends should be issued oven mitts and sunscreen for their own protection.

On top of that, reynardin and faunalia have offered to drive me to Brampton for my interview on Wednesday. Don't I have awesome friends? People seem to be rooting for the Indigo job... fingers crossed.

A customer came into the shop today that I had met last week. She mentioned then that she was getting a tattoo for her upcoming wedding, and seeing mine, asked me for some advice. She had an artist but he was dragging his feet over her design and putting off her appt. As she wanted it healed in time for the wedding, I suggested that she go to the chicks at Passage on Church St. and get a better artist. I even offered to tune up her design for free - she's really nice and it just seemed like the right thing to do. Anyway, she came back today after she had the tattoo done from one of the artists at Passage, to thank me for the referral and to tell me that she appreciated that I put my ego aside as an artist in order to give her what she really wanted (which is the whole damn point if you are designing for someone else). So, that made me feel like a million bucks - even tho I made zilch on the whole thing.

Tomorrow is Grandma's 90th b-day extravaganza. I'm practicing my false family smiles and b.s. lines about "what I'm doing with my life" as I type this. If I didn't love my Grandma so much, I would call in dead to this one. As Scott is taking off with the MAC puppy tomorrow, I'm hoping to get some art done instead - especially a certain piece that I hoped to post on f_for_fanfic in order to piss off a flamer and support another community member. That is, if my coloured pencils don't melt from the heat first....

family, job, friends, work, interview
