We didn't do very much today except cook and clean and run a few errands, and it was lovely. I wish every Saturday could be like this.

This past spring we planted a few different varieties of tomatoes. I plant tomatoes almost solely to turn them into sauce or salsa, while Mike loves fresh tomatoes on sandwiches, salads, and tacos. Can I tell you how amazing my four day weekend has been? Because really, it's been amazing. It's been so relaxing, filled with good food and friends, and lots of quality time with Mike. This has by far been the best weekend I've had in a long time.

One of my favorite things about Mike is his assumption that I can cook anything, and cook it well enough so he'll like it. Once or twice a week he'll come to me with a request for something to make.
