I've had couple weeks of slacking, so this weekend is my weekend to get back into the swing of things. I have stuff to do around the house that I've been putting off. No more!

To Do:
* Harvest carrots, potatoes, last of the tomatoes, eggplants, peppers. Dig up all dead plants and remove as many tomato plants and cages as possible.

* Make tomato sauce, and can some pickled carrots.

* Clean out the fridge.

* Watch OSU football and as much other football as possible!

* Buy wood to fix the fence and make at least one gate. We need two, but I have no idea how to make the other one. The space is too wide for a gate, but our cable and electric wires run under the opening so we can't put in a new post.

* Buy wood to make Christmas presents. I've got a semi-concrete list of presents laid out in my head and just need to finalize it and start buying supplies. Everything is home made, of course. So I need to budget my time wisely. I'm debating whether to post the list later. My mom already knows what she's getting, and Kate doesn't seem to care if what I give her is a surprise or not. But a number of people receiving gifts read my LJ and I don't want to spoil anything.

* Buy fabric for other Christmas presents. I've got a nifty (and hopefully cute) gift idea for all of the sisterwives that shouldn't take long and should be useful. Just have to get on it!

* Work on Eris's quilt. I was going gangbusters on this for a few weeks, and then I decided to start knitting, and stopped sewing. I'm about 1/2 way done quilting it. If I could just finish quilting it I could take it off the machine and spend my chilly nights bundled up with it hand binding it. We're having perfect weather for hand binding!

* Finish my sweater vest. (But this takes a back seat to the quilt.) The front is done, and I'm about 1/3 of the way done with the back. It's turning out so well! And what's great about this pattern is even if your gauge isn't perfect, it should still fit because you don't count your rows, you knit until it's a certain length. My yarn was on sale and it's so nice and soft. With the ribbing on the bottom it's nice and stretchy too. Oh I can't wait until this is done! I hope it fits. :-x

As a small aside, for any local people, we're going to Waterfire at Genoa Park Saturday night. It's a laid back, child friendly event. We're just going to hang out, listen to music, and check out some art. But if anyone wants to come, we'd be happy to have you.
