On the positive side of things, my mother is minus a foot and a half of her colon and healing as expected from major abdominal surgery. Also on the positive side, I'm heading back up north to my own home this coming Wednesday to stay. I am solar powered and outside is very foggy with intermittent heavy downpours, so my grand ambitions for today have been scaled back. At least it's light gray out there now rather than dark gray, but that's about as much as you can say for it ( Read more... )

The weather is truly wacky this winter and today it's a balmy 50°F. Yesterday was nearly as warm if not precisely pleasant and I wasn't painfully cold for a change like I have been much of this winter so far regardless of the thermostat setting.
