We've been taking state exams. Stupid, annoying, torturous. The 6th grade kids are mixed in together with the ESL kids separate because they get extra time. Wisdom (who is not very wise) was in my room and at the very end of exam time, Theta and Wisdom had a knock down, drag out, fist fight. Both are formally suspended. I won't see Theta for a

Epsilon, you're not only disruptive when you tie your own sneakers together, but it's a behavior that should not make it out of Pre-K. And kicking all of the lockers on the way to the Assistant Principal's office means you're now suspended for two days

I met Oscar's mother and step-father at dismissal. It appears that he lied to them about having a good day yesterday. He's grounded now. We exchanged phone numbers. I expect a total transformation tomorrow

Today was my first day back in school for this year. All of my materials that were left in the supply room off of my previous classroom were taken out and dumped in the supply room next to my new classroom. What a huge freaking mess! Books, papers, poster, supplies, markers, the whole lot in a pile on the floor. Mixed in is another teacher's
