I learned something at work today.

Sometimes volcanoes spit out larva.

I now own - and have used - a rain jacket for cycling. My Portlander Nerd Quotient just went up a handful of points.

Next up, most likely gloves & shoe covers. Probably not for another month or so, but very likely on the list.

I realized this morning that not only is tomorrow Pi Day (3/14 - month & day), but that EVERY DAY THIS MONTH has been Pi Day (month & year). Dammit, why didn't I figure this out two weeks ago? I could have been having pie every day! Now I'll just have to double up for the rest of the month. *grumbledamnpie*

On my way home from work, I stopped by Goodwill to celebrate the beginning of my winter break. Whereupon I found a unicorn!
