Sunday was a good day for British sportsmen. Lewis Hamilton won top spot on the podium in the US Grand Prix. That puts him ten points clear at the top of the driver standings, ahead of his team-mate Alonso.

England have beaten Estonia and got the essential three points under their belt, thank goodness. Mind you, if they couldn't notch up a win against Estonia, they really wouldn't have deserved to go through to Euro 2008.
