RIP Sen. Edward Kennedy.

I have no idea why his death is touching my heart. He was not particularly radical. I suppose his staunch defense of his opinions makes me admire him.

Five days and Bush is gone. We're generally not political optimists, but a lot of us find our mood optimistic about the future, crappy economy and all.

Bush wants to pardon himself and everyone in his administration, retroactive to 11 September 2001. The sad truth is he'll probably be able to get congress to go along with it.

How soon can we leave the country? Maybe we should be looking for a farm elsewhere.

strangely, it's the "necessarily" in the second sentence that really gets me.
