I'm in Brisbane! For work!! Im currently in a hotel, and I'm not paying for it. It's all very exciting. Library conferences are fun! :) and we haven't even been to the conference yet. We just arrived this evening, checked in and had dinner. Tomorrow is the day were here for.

So, being boss: It was a good thing because I got the experience, and more money, but it's been so draining being in charge at this branch. I can't trust any other member of my team to arrive on time to open the doors at 8:30. I can however trust them to leave on the dot of 5pm - even if they are meant to be there til 5.15. My manager is off to manage another branch, whose manager is off to cover another branch for a few weeks because someone quit and will take a while to hire a new manager, so in the meantime while she's away, I'm in charge!

So, my boss is on holidays, and now I'm in charge. Of the busiest branch of a 14 branch organisation. After being with the organisation for like 4 months. Over the guy who has been there 27 years.
