Got a temporary promotion!
My manager is off to manage another branch, whose manager is off to cover another branch for a few weeks because someone quit and will take a while to hire a new manager, so in the meantime while she's away, I'm in charge!
You think there would have been an easier way to cover the manager-less branch than displacing three staff... But it's what's happening. :) for up to maybe two months!! Excitingly scary.
It will be fine, just imagining all of the things that could go wrong.... Haha. At least she's still only a phone call away. And it's only a small branch. Mostly be signing time sheets and filling shifts when people are sick. I can do that.
