There's no place like home for the holidays

It's Christmas, and if Cy can't have her friends for it, she'll have... well. Every other cat she can find. The Casa's living room is packed with strays and ferals, milling nervously, presided over by a human kitty wearing her new coat. Every scrap of food she could figure out how to open the packaging for is spread out for the cats to enjoy--and they are, with a minimum of fighting. A miracle in itself. Of course, having Cy standing over them with a fly swatter helps.

Abby is stretched out on one of the couches in one of the lounges in the Kashtta, looking at job ads in a week-old newspaper. Rex is asleep in a ball on her stomach, tucked under a thermal blanket.

She's not one to waste time or take charity, and if she's going to get home one way or another, she needs a way to make some damn cash. Oh, but whoever she stole the t-shirt with the toaster pursuing terrified bread slices from? So isn't getting it back.

Ruvin, meanwhile, is trying to get herself a library card. It isn't going well. She has yet, after all, to get fake ID--though the need for some form of identification is quickly making itself clear.

"I can at least read them without a card?"

The librarian just gives her a Look, which Ruvin takes to mean yes. She growls to herself and marches off into the stacks to find something relevant to read. She's researching time travel. So she may, ah, end up in the science fiction section by mistake.

[[Going to post-date this for some time after the Santa.... ness.]]
