I don’t think I’ve watched “Second Sight” since Eureka started. So I was looking forward to seeing Salli Richardson play someone other than Dr. Allison Blake. The episode itself is a bit of a throwaway but I don’t particularly mind it. ( Admit it, Chief, if you were on a station where everything worked, you'd be miserable. )

Ah so it's "I See Dead People" where Vaughn's location was suddenly switched to Nepal from Bhutan. I thought I had missed it! I can tell that they're really not caring that much anymore and frankly, it made it hard for me to care too much about these final four episodes. I ended up spoiled that Sonia Braga was Elena. But even if I hadn’t known that and noticed her name in the opening credits of “A Clean Conscience”, I still would have figured she had to be the third Derevko sister once she showed up again. I found myself snarking “A Taste of Armageddon” relentlessly. It’s not that it’s a bad episode. In fact, I really like the concept and think it’s extremely clever and a great look at the realities of war. I had been looking forward to “Welcome to Liberty Village” based on title alone. I was hoping for some The Prisoner style mindgames or something. “Space Seed” is one of those episodes that I’ve seen so many times that I sort of take it for granted. I tried to make sure I watched with a critical eye the whole time to look for little things that I’ve never noticed before or that have been pointed out, like Kirk spending his final breath recommending commendations for his officers. A couple of things frustrated me in “Galileo 7”. First, why the hell didn’t they get rid of the chairs? That seemed to me to be the obvious first thing to go when they needed to get rid of weight. It’s more difficult to critically review the episodes that are *actually* good, as I pointed out with my True Blood posts. I don’t really have a lot to say about “Balance of Terror”. I’ve always been a fan of reading the source material for movies. Not just sci-fi and fantasy but anything really. I think I first developed the habit after seeing “Howard’s End” and then equally adoring the book.
