Ok, I have had to sit on this since October but I am finally able to let you all know. Today I signed the paper work for an out-of-court settlement to head off a wrongful termination claim in court. TI cannot discuss the terms of the settlement so I will just leave it at that.

I got through to the state unemployment office today and got around the block on getting a check. Basically I had to tell them that if suitable full-time work was available to me I would quite school. I just said "yes" even though one of my classes is online and I would talk to my professors in the others about turning them into independent studies ( Read more... )

Well the state beat its six-to-eight week deadline and ruled in my favor so the unemployment checks have begun. I got the first one deposited this morning so now I have a stable source of income and do not have to call my mom every time I have an expense ( Read more... )

I know I have not updated in a while on this matter, but my job hunt does continue. I have a bunch of job bids that I will be taking over to the University of Michigan today thanks to Don since my car is still being worked on. I have been hesitant to post an update on his just simply because I still am in the "Anger/Bitter/Depression" phase of this whole mess. My resume is now active on four major sites (CareerBuilder, Monster, TrueCareers and the Michigan Talent Bank) and there have been a few hits here and there.
