I fly off to Tennessee in just under two days. I haven't packed. I am in the middle of a round of whirlwind visits to say goodbye to people before we leave.

And I have now developed a fever and a sore throat.

Dammit! :(

We have our tickets, visas and pretty much everything sorted for our trip. I think this means we're really going.

I'll be arriving on Tuesday 10th July at 5pm, going to my visa interview at the American Consulate on Wednesday morning, then flying out again at 4pm on Wednesday.

I need a place to stay while I'm there - anyone willing to put me up for the night? I'll be staying at Base Backpackers on Fort St, as it's closest to where I need to be in the morning ( Read more... )

We have a date for leaving NZ.

The people at Oak Ridge National Laboratory want kittyfarmer to start on 16 July. This won't happen, as I still haven't sorted my visa, so we are going to be leaving the country on or around the first of August ( Read more... )
