With a travel day behind me, I began the first official day in Tucson with as slow a pace I could muster. The hotel put out a
small breakfast buffet that I made a ten-minute appearance to get some fuel burning and then I charted out the rest of the day.

The abdominal pains started with a little over an hour left for the flight into Phoenix. With little time before my flight I chose to eat from a restaurant that I haven’t eaten from in over two years - McDonald’s. This bad omen would continue to haunt me for the next three hours until I performed a gastro-exorcism with hoppy ale.
