It's a celebration when the majority of beers I have to choose from are new to me. Suddenly, a special world reconfigures
itself to my whims just because it wants to please me. The vacation is unfolding differently than planned but I hold no hard grip
on what's to happen as the framework is loose and I follow the path of least resistance as long as it takes me to that which I desire.
Things started with poor airport signage, a screeching brat in the terminal gate that ended up in the seat in front of me but predictably
the little shit passed out fifteen minutes after take-off and of course the usual assorted usual travel frustrations manifested themselves.
The iPhone map function does make things easier getting here/there and that takes a load off me as I don't have
normal male navigational skills. This is the fourth time I've been to Tucson, so the novelty has worn off.
HELLooo...Tucson!!!
After checking in the hotel, my second order of business when traveling is to hit a liquor store best known for their
beer selection and Plaza Liquor knows what beer freaks want and that's singles - 8 coolers worth. Some I'm drinking here
and others are coming home with me. I picked up some Austrian brews for HermanoDiablo's novia.
The Alewife Cometh
As I walked up the side of a popular beer bar, a waitress smoking outside and I locked eyes and said “Hello”. I sat at the bar and she
suddenly appeared to talk with me and for the rest of the night, no other bartender or waitress served or addressed me.
Perhaps I'm marked for...sex/death/friendship?
I go back tomorrow to watch the Texas -New York baseball game. Yes, I'm interested in that a TX team has gotten this far...and 1702
has 50 taps of beer and a nice bottle selection.
Well, that and she told me that she'll be there at 5pm. Hmmm...
