Shin update

After a week of taking it easy by laying off runs in lieu of biking and swimming, icing my shins, and resting, I ran 5 miles on Saturday (did you just hear me say 5 miles?  As in FIVE?!  A new personal record!) and my shins felt much better.  I cross-trained on Sunday and Monday again, just to be on the safe side, and today tried another 3 miles, and felt great!  So, I think it might be safe to say that my shin splints are gone, at least for now.  I am very relieved by this because this month we really start cranking up the mileage.  Eeek!

OK, now stay away, shin splints!  I've got running to do!
