Sat Shakespeare Theatre Company's Taming of the Shrew on June 11. It was unusual in that there were musical numbers and the entire cast was male.

At work, in the elevator with one other lady this morning. A second lady gets on and says, "Hey, y'all smell good!" The first lady looks nervous and doesn't reply, so I start sniffling very loudly, like a dog snuffling, which makes me laugh, and the commenter laugh and the first lady exit quickly at the next floor ( Read more... )

Friday saw Derek Jacobi, Richard Clifford and Holly Twyford doing dramatic readings from The Tempest, with a background of a small orchestra with musical instruments from the early 1600's, and two singers - counter-tenor and a baritone. Note: Parts of the Beltway between Van Dorn and Telegraph Road and Route 1 in both directions were flooded out. So was my basement.
