This is one I meant to post in my last post - It's a tunnel-boring machine in Seattle:
Here's a rainbow from last weekend:
Here's a progress picture of the GTO's engine bay. So far, the tank's been dropped, cleaned, coated, painted and had a new pickup installed and been tapped for the new fuel lines. Those fuel lines have been run, the filters and pumps mounted, the engine compartment has been cleaned and painted, the new intake and distributor are on, new plug wires are on, the throttle body's in place, and most of the sensors are on. The wires for the brain boxes have been run into the cabin, and the dash is apart to mount the brain boxes.
Here's a picture I had taken at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb pre-race car show.
In other news, it's been effing hot here. Every day in June had a high temperature over 90. It's hit triple digits pretty much every day for the last week or two. Yesterday, it was hot enough that my motorcycle just gave up and said "screw this, it's too damned hot" while I was running errands yesterday. It's feeling much better today, especially after an oil change and some maintenance. Interestingly, it costs just as much to change the oil in my motorcycle as it does to change the oil in my car.
Work has kinda sucked lately. A weird problem came up with my mod, and I've been having to deal with people who are sarcastic and insulting. RF noise sucks.
My trips to Seattle and Colorado were nice, though. It was really good to spend time with Kristina, and see the Seattle mudders. Seeing my various family in Colorado was nice, too. The Hill climb was pretty good, though too many people crashed this year. However, a few new records were set and Monster Tajima broke the 10 minute barrier. I had a good time hanging out with Phil and his father-in-law up on the mountain. It was a long dang day, though.
Scylla got another eye infection, so she's been getting eye drops. I think that because f that, she decided to be really lovey last night and didn't let me get much sleep. Then I had telecons all day today. I hate telecons. Thank providence that I finally figured out how to mute my headset.
I think I'll go have an Arnold Palmer now.
