I finally hit 300 miles on these shoes, but just barely. I didn't walk Monday morning because the wind chill was supposed to be -30°. I don't think it was quite that cold, but my cut off is -20°, and it might have been that cold.  Very chilly, anyway.

I didn't go walking this morning. I have this cut-off temperature. If the wind chill is 20° below zero or colder, I don't walk. Of course, I decided on that cut-off temperature using the old wind chill calculations. I'm really not sure how that compares to the current way they figure wind chill. Anyone? I bet

So far.  At least that's what they're saying.  It's supposed to get cold tonight.  I suppose it is November.  The kids put the flannel sheets on their beds yesterday and added some blankets, I think.  I'm thinking flannel sheets sound pretty nice, so I'll probably put them on our bed, too, when I change the sheets next week.  I might even go ahead ( Read more... )

Thanks to everyone who reminded me! It wasn't nearly as cold in that theater as it was when we went to see Pirates, but I was thankful to have a sweatshirt. I'm still trying to figure out why air conditioning and refrigeration seem to mean the same thing in so many people's minds. Anyway. We were hurrying out of the house last night.  Why, I'm not sure because we had plenty of time.  We had to go by the library so Cory could return the audio books he couldn't renew because someone else had holds on them.  That didn't really take any time, except that he had to check out the dog in the library.  I guess this dog had been running ( Read more... )

Cold = long sleeves
Long sleeves = being absolutely unable to do anything!
