Every once in a while, someone on my flist will decide to stay away from LJ for a while, or possibly end their journal all together (why didn't I friend oblomova while I still could?). Both of these things have happened recently, in fact, and it got me to thinking. The result was this poll.

This sucks. Increasingly, LJ sucks. Why take a good thing and ruin it?

(Bullshit explanation here, followed by heaps of outrage.)

Maybe it's not the healthiest attitude in the world, but I'm basically withdrawing from several parts of my life while studying. At this point, it might actually be necessary; I'm rapidly losing the ability to speak. In my Italian class this morning, I couldn't come up with a sentence that began, "I was content that..."
