I discovered Abbey Lincoln through a compilation. Or rather, I discovered her music that way. I knew a bit about her civil rights activism even before I heard her sing. But on both counts, I would certainly enjoy learning a bit more.

I personally find my list to be very boring. It is, perhaps, indicative of the most obvious aspects of my identity (race, sexuality, age, profession). Meh.
