Working between rain showers I moved, cleaned, sorted and stacked approximately 300 bricks. I started late on Saturday and finished up Sunday morning. I offered to buy a pile of bricks that a neighbor had in his front yard. He said take them, but take them all.
And so I did.

Many years ago the Cal Poly SLO Alumini Assoication found me, and continues to this day sending me stuff in the mail. This is really interesting … as I never graduated. I dropped out my senior year. Cal Poly was … not a supportive environment for learning … at least not for me. My major was Horticulture with a ‘concentration’ of Nursery Management ( Read more... )

While I’ve been waiting for autumn to arrive, I’ve been preparing the garden for this weekend’s renovation of the front garden. Between working long hours six days a week and working in my own garden as time permitted, that didn’t leave any time left over to blog about much of anything. Thanks to everyone for their good thoughts, they're really appreciated. It appears that Duke has passed the kidney stone. It broke up and the pieces are very small. That part of him is feelin better, but migraine popped up it ugly head and so now he is dealin with that ( Read more... )
