I miss writing here, yet the sheer volume of what I'd need to write to "catch up" is staggering and grows by the minute. There's no solution, only diving in and doing the thing with hopes of returning to form or finding a new rhythm.

Finally took the plunge and bought an iPad yesterday. So fun! Enjoying coffee from Irwin's on the upstairs deck and giving this blog client a try. All is quiet on the beach on Camano Island. Thick fog keeps me from seeing far past the shore, a contract with the clear day we enjoyed yesterday. Of our communitygroup, only barlow_girl and I are awake, and it's good for us to all be peaceful together (awake or asleep). Regrettably, I've got a bug that just keeps hanging on. Started to feel it a little before we headed out to ultimateswing's wedding in Arizona last weekend, and it's still with me. We started 2010 with a whirlwind trip to visit both our families (first in Alabama, then in Iowa), and I'm just now starting to feel the beginnings of a normal rhythm settling in. Enjoying a communitygroup overnight at velouria73's family beach home on Camano Island. As is usually the case, it's challenging to stop (painting, of course) and rest, but it's also been so rewarding-not because of any amazing shared mountaintop experience, but simply to be with these friends. barlow_girl and I are just outside of Poulsbo, WA, staying at the Green Cat Guest House for a couple of days after attending our friends' Santino & Alica's wedding Sunday evening. In San Francisco wrapping up Macworld Expo with Bee Docs. Truly awful time for me to be ill, but we don't get to choose these things (just glad it's not worse).
