I plan to do a short walking holiday next month with my husband and my 19 month old. Our plan is to walk a length of the Cotswold Way in England, stopping at B&Bs and carrying our luggae with us. I've been using Moby Wraps with my daughter (2 months) quite a bit, and occasionally my Baby Hawk. I have an Ergo that I plan to use as she gets bigger. I would love to do back carries with her, but she's too small/young to be back carried in my MT or Ergo, and I just learned you can't back carry with a Moby. So that leaves me with a woven wrap. I want a wrap conversion, or a mei tai with wide wrap-style straps (xl is ideal) that will work really well with a very small baby.

I really don't want to have to beg/plead/sell my soul for a custom slot, and would like something in stock...

Anyone have a suggestion?

In the next month or so I want to order a new wrap. I'm looking for places to order that have the longest wraps. It's easy to find a 5 or 6, but ideally I am looking for a 7 or 8 as I really want to use multilayer carries with this baby.

Anyone know a good source for the longer wraps?

For those of you who have used stretchy for newborn and woven once they get a bit bigger, did you ever go back to stretchy when you had anotehr newborn? I'm thinking the ease of being able to pop baby in and out all day without having to remove the wrap probably makes it preferable for the first few months at least ( Read more... )

What are your favourite back carries for woven wraps? So far I've tried Giselle's back carry and double hammock, and I like the hammock most but for me it's still not as comfortable as carrying my 8 month old FWCC.
