So, we were at the zoo the other day, and they don't have any high chairs in the outdoor seating area. After having to chase down my wriggly toddler one too many times, I put the Ergo behind her chair, and used the waist strap as a seat belt. Instant high chair!

I was just getting ready to purchase an Ergo but noticed that Snugli now makes a soft seated carrier that looks VERY similar to the Ergo. The only difference I can see is that it does not have a hood(not important to me), and it goes for $90 as opposed to $115+. Up until now, I've mainly been using Moby-type wrap with my son. He likes it, and it was great as long as we were both comfortable in it. Sadly, it's now at the point where he's getting a bit heavy for me to carry him in it. After an hour or so my shoulders are really sore ( Read more... )

Forgive me if this is really amateur, but I have a dilemma! When my baby was born March 29th, we would babywear whenever we went out and around the house. Now she's 8 weeks (and 10lbs, 9oz) and I'm afraid to wear her! It gets so hot in my house and outside that I worry its too hot to try. Yesterday was 99 degrees and 78 inside the house. I got my Ergo from babysteals the other day, and I'm still trying to get it to fit comfortably. I'm having a lot of back pain because I can't seem to get the chest strap right but I think that I might have finally figured that one out. hey all! so i bought an ergo off babysteals the other day and i'm having issues, i think. my son is 6 weeks old tomorrow, so i'm using the infant insert, but...idk. :/ can someone take a look at these pics and tell me if/what i'm doing wrong? :D?

While I think wraps are super cute and will definitely be getting one, I think my husband would much prefer to wear baby in something with buckle straps rather than ties so it looks a little more manly/industrial.
