It's 1:30 in the morning and I can't fall asleep even though I'm physically very tired.

Adrenal-pumping medication + breaking my caffeine fast in a BIG way + not enough water + a meager lunch and popcorn for supper = hunger and insomnia.

A crunchy kitchen floor, mountains of laundry, sticky dishes, and toothpaste-polka-dotted bathroom sink - they have taken me captive and refuse to release me until they are attended to.

I had a Bad Abby Day and even though it was NOT fun to go through all that, I know in the long run, it's a good thing.

I banned Julia from the basement, I borrowed her water baby and wrapped it in Abby's blanket.  Then I sat down and watched the video tape  from Abby's ultrasound at around 24 weeks.  I watched it three times and I totally fell ( Read more... )

Another school day for me.  I spent 5 hours working on ONE assignment for postpartum care.  I'm not blasting through them as fast as I thought I would :(

Ever since Abby was born, I haven't felt comfortable in my own skin. My clothes all seem to fit funny, and I'm always uncomfortable.  Even though I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight, I feel like someone just added a few rolls and layers here and there, enough to make me uncomfortable.  I don't feel normal, I don't feel like myself.
