I've been given a reprieve
Julia has gone to play with a friend for a while this afternoon, so the mommymommymommy song has stopped for now. Charlotte nursed and napped (on me) and is now watching "Ellen" and talking to the couch while I electronically submit an assignment for my Neonatology course!! So much more to do, but it feels good to have one more thing done, another big fat check mark on my things-to-do for school.
I was supposed to travel a helluva long way tomorrow for a midwifery AGM but there is a winter storm coming so it's been postponed. Since I may be snowed in, I should be able to get more school work done tomorrow. Doing this work in bits and pieces is tough; just when I get focused on my work and I'm on a roll, someone needs me and I have to switch gears. Frustrating. My goals to finish Neonatology and Technical Writing by Christmas were optimistic but also, unrealistic.
One step at a time. I will get there.
