We're home from a full day in the city, including our first ultrasound. One tiny baby, heart beating at 163 bpm, and a very adult, professional discussion with our doctor. He was anxious about our choice to even consider another homebirth but as always, respected our decision when he realized we weren't going to be stubborn or stupid about it. We told him the same thing we told our doctors with my previous two pregnanices, "If everything goes ok through the pregnancy and labour, we will certainly have a home birth, otherwise we'll reconsider."
That's all we've decided for now.
I'm sooo exhausted, but it was a good day. I held back the tears but they will come later, once the girls are in bed and I am alone with Jack, not in public, and free to tell him of my fears and emotions. I love that man so much.
