I have 15 minutes while the
cupcake pops are chilling (before being shaped and dipped).
Four years ago from today I was in
labour with Charlotte. When things quiet down tonight, I will go back and read the journal entries of her labour and birth, look at the pictures of her as she was born, and shed some happy tears. Four years old tomorrow, I just can't believe it!
My mom is here now. We've been puttering around doing dishes, making coffee, and prepping the cupcake pops this morning. I have quite a few things to accomplish today but I should have plenty of hands to help.
Kim is officially done high school now, other than a couple of final exams. I took her picture as she left for school yesterday so that I would have a picture of her on her first day of kindergarten, and her last day of grade 12. *sniff*
Kim had her formal grad portraits done yesterday with a local photographer and they are stunning. I was in the city picking my mom up at the airport so I wasn't here to see her hair all done up or help her get dressed but she had a friend to help her.
When I texted Jack to ask how Kim's hair looked, his reply was "fancy". No description, nothing, just that one word - LOL. So typical. He's been quiet lately and I'm sure he's been thinking a lot about Abby, Kim's grad, Charlotte turning 4 - his girls are so precious to him, it must be so bittersweet for him as time moves on.
Tomorrow is Charlotte's big Pinkalicious birthday party. I can't wait to see her reaction :-) My sweet baby girl is going to be FOUR!
Well, there's my timer. Off to shape and dip the cupcake pops!
