This weekend was fabulous :) It was the first time in three weeks that I actually got to spend a whole weekend with my wife that wasn't interrupted by either her or my military duty.

It was quite an adventure today gathering ingredients for my birthday dinner. You're probably wondering why I'm shopping for my own birthday dinner, but it's not like that. My lovely wife makale_83 made me my traditional favourite birthday cake of german chocolate, got some butter pecan icecream, and bought some steaks for said feast.

The Bn FEx at Ft. Pickett was lame. For H&S it was exceptionally lame. There were at least twenty of us there that really didn't need to be there except to provide more bodies for the officers and staff to practice logistics or something. I'm exhausted. No more hooking up friends by going an hour and a half out of my way (twice) so they can see their wives. Ok, well not often.
