Big accomplishment of the day= Planted a whole cereal bowl full of beans. Like, nearly a pound. SO MANY BEANS. I will have a beanstalk that will pierce the heavens. *sunglasses shine* Also, the beans I planted earlier are up out front. Baked French cherry almond pie stuff. Played with bees in garden. I've had bunnies, a skunk, a cat, birds of all sizes, every sort of bug I've ever seen and even bats in my garden. Now I have a toad inhabitant~ He hopped at me and scared me! Haha~ I'm happy because it is a good ecosystem, now. :3

Hail. Giant hail has killed my garden. My squash are tattered and the sunflowers and Jerusalem artichokes are sad and have holes an inch long in there leaves. Tim and I brought in a black swallowtail caterpillar just in time. She now resides in a jar on the kitchen window. Tim swears it's a she. We'll see. But.. my poor garden ;A;

My foot now smells like winterfresh gum because of the Indian pain salve I put on it. Awesome. *sniffsniff*

I have been picking little handfuls pea-pods for the last week, but they all matured at once today. I have a whole bowl of shucked green peas. I should make soup or something.

I worked on my garden a lot, today. Dalia/lily 'bulbs' are in, all my flower seeds that can go in are in(+ green peas), my fence is almost totally finished (paint, screws, etc. now I just need to put the chicken wire on the gate frame and attach it to the post/trim down the posts and it'll be complete~) I can't wait to see everything come up~ Btw, ( Read more... )
