Rory was already in a terrible mood when she came back to her room, due to detention. Plus she was starving, which was why she had ordered enough Chinese food for three girls of her size.

Rory sleepily got ready for bed, tucking Vladdie in his basket with a bottle and gently setting Yoda's tank back on the desk. After brushing her teeth and reading for a bit, she lost her concentration, and started on another ( letter that would never be read )
