Christmas was lovely. I got all the cooking done, and got the bathroom clean if nothing else. ani_no_mouse and lyda_pearl came over in the early afternoon. We decorated cookies, ate (the turkey was underdone but everything else was delicious), played Exploding Kittens, and had pie. After LP and ANM went home, the roommates and I exchanged gifts. Election day
I got up early and went to my polling place. There's a couple polling places in the same church gym. My line was about six people long (I was #84 a little over an hour after polls opened). The other line was out the gym, down the stairs and out the doors of the church onto the sidewalk. Not sure what the difference in neighborhoods is ( Read more... ) -

I've been volunteering at the children's department of one of the local libraries since last November. In theory, at some point, this should turn into a sort of unpaid internship in which I could get some really good experience in order to attempt to get a job. Thinking crafty thoughts
I want to play around with craft foam and a heat gun, see what I can do with it. I've never really experimented with much of anything beyond fabric and poster paper for my costumes and crafts.
