Rafe and I got a dog. We've been talking about getting one since the third day we knew each other, and it finally happened.

This Thanksgiving, my great aunt, who has Parkinsons, decided she wanted to give me some of her stuff. I protested, since I would be flying and couldn't take anything big or breakable, and because it's still her stuff. She decided then to give me something small and less fragile: jewelry.
