I've really come to appreciate weekends, now that I work Mon-Fri. It's been so cozy today, the perfect Saturday. We slept in, and cuddled after waking up and cuddled with the kitties too. Date night was fantastic, we had a wonderful time. We couldn't have found a more romantic restaurant if we had specifically looked for it. It was an Osteria across from where Cinna works. We were the only guests. Candlelight, a handwritten menu that changes everyday, and the chef himself scolded us when we used forks to eat the olives and bread. ( Read more... )

This has been an odd weekend. The original plan was that our friends Gudrun and Cheesy would be coming to visit us on Saturday afternoon. Never been to Krefeld, all that jazz. But we cancelled that, because my mom is in hospital and seeing her was more important. But being in Dortmund, we wanted to get together for a couple of beer anyway.
